Melbourne FurFest is excited to introduce our innovative partner, Karma Stories! We've teamed up with them to bring a modern and accessible way to connect potential adopters with rescue animals right here at the event. Karma Stories utilises a unique digital platform designed to bridge the gap between animals needing homes and people looking to adopt, making the process more engaging and streamlined.
Karma Stories works by showcasing animals from their shelter in rural victoria through online profiles and stories. Their platform helps facilitate connections and simplifies the initial stages of the adoption journey, utilising technology to reach more potential adopters and give more animals a chance at finding their forever families. It’s a fantastic approach to modernising pet adoption.

At Melbourne FurFest, Karma Stories will be running the Virtual Pet Adoptions located in the vibrant Atrium Forecourt. While the animals themselves won't be physically present in the forecourt, you'll be able to see their detailed profiles, hear stories of how they were rescued and find out more about their personalities. Potential adopters will also be able to do a live video call with some of the pets at the karma stories shelter to engage with them one on one.

Discover dogs, cats, lambs, sheep, cows, roosters that are available for adoption, learn their stories, and see photos and videos. Crucially, the dedicated Karma Stories team will be physically present in the Atrium Forecourt to assist you. They can demonstrate the platform, answer your questions about specific animals or the virtual adoption process, and explain the next steps involved if you find an animal you're interested in.

For those who cannot offer a forever home to the animals, but would like to remotely adopt an animal and offer support for their feed and medical bills for a set period of time are also welcome to select the animal they want to offer to. We will provide regular updates of how their remotely adopted animal is doing via email. They are welcome to visit the karma stories shelter as well to meet their adopted animal.

Make sure to stop by the Karma Stories stand in the Atrium Forecourt during your visit to Melbourne FurFest. It’s a great opportunity to see how virtual adoption works, explore the profiles of animals needing homes, and chat with the friendly team. This innovative approach makes adoption accessible even amidst the buzz of the festival!
We thank Karma Stories for partnering with us and bringing this exciting technology to Melbourne FurFest attendees!
